Evacuation method
- Please evacuate following the evacuation exit as posted in the bulletin board.
- Underground 2nd Floor and Underground 1nd Floor: evacuate to the 1st Floor through passages of the central supply room, funeral hall and underground parking lot.
- 2nd Floor: evacuate to the 1st Floor through emergency evacuation stairs on both sides.
- 3rd Floor: evacuate to the 1st Floor or outside rooftop on the 3rd Floor through emergency evacuation stairs on both sides.
- 4th Floor and higher: evacuate to the 1st Floor or outside rooftop on the 3rd Floor through emergency evacuation stairs on both sides.
- The operation room is safe even during a fire emergency, but emergency stand-by should be prepared.
- ICU: because the inside of ICU is a safe compartment, that is a fully fireproof compartment, in principle emergency stand-by should be executed when a fire breaks out in other floor, but in an emergency situation, evacuation should be made following directions of evacuation guidance staffs.
- In case of fire, the elevators should never be used.
- In case of fire, evacuate in a low position while placing a mask or wet towel on the nose and taking short breaths to reduce damages caused by toxic gases and smoke.
- In case of fire, severely ill patient and mobility-impaired patient should be evacuated first.
Fire extinguish equipment
- Fire hydrants and fire extinguishers are installed in the hallway of each floor.
- Underground 2nd Floor: one in front of the pneumatic tube system room, two in the transformer room, one each in the air conditioning room, laundry room, fire hydrant pump room, chiller room, central monitoring room, UPS room and generator room
- Underground 1st Floor: one each in the cleaning storage room, central supply room, incense altar 2, incense altar 7 and in front of the rest room for visitors, and two each in the control center, staff restaurant, hospital kitchen and funeral hall kitchen
- 1st Floor: one each in the medical record room, Laboratory Medicine, emergency radiography room, bone lab, replacement chamber, in front of the pharmacy, special radiography room, MRI room, reading room
- 2nd Floor: one each in the Nursing, ICU, director’s room, Pediatrics, central fit room, Room 200, Room 206, operation room, Anesthesiology department head’s office, in front of the operation room and inside of ICU
- 3rd Floor: one in the hallway in front of room 301, 305, 310, 312, 316 and 317, and in every room
- 4th Floor: one in the hallway in front of room 431, 435, 450, 452, 456 and 457, and in every room
- 5th Floor: one in the hallway in front of room 501, 505, 510, 512, 516 and 517 and in every room
- 6th Floor: room 602, 607, 611, 612 and 618
- 7th Floor: room 702, 707, 711 and 712
How to use fire extinguishers
- Grasp the handle of the fire extinguisher and then approach to the fire location.
- Against the wind ring the safety pin on your finger and unplug the safety pin.
- After directing the nozzle towards the fire, grasp the upper and lower handle firmly and spray it with a sweeping motion.
